With two spring posts in a row, I'm officially dreaming of sunshine and blooming flowers, and there is nothing more perfect than spring in New York City! Alex and James chose to have a casual outdoor wedding at Fort Tyron Park and New Leaf Restaurant, with the focus solely on their friends and family. By not choosing a color palette and simply letting the outdoor venue and the in-season tulips shine, their wedding was classic, understated and incredibly chic. Sarah Tew beautifully captured every last detail, including taxi-themed flats and romantic first look.Read More
Oh friends, this wedding is so so good. Tia and Brian's Catskills wedding is simply stunning. Everything from organic bouquets to the hand-painted signs were chosen with care, and the view from the Onteora Mountain House is what dreams are made of. A wedding this gorgeous can only be photographed by the best, and Julia Elizabeth perfectly captured every emotion and thoughtful detail. Brides and Grooms-to-be, grab your coffee and get ready to be inspired!
From Julia: Tia and Brian had their wedding at the Onteora Mountain House. It's an amazing venue tucked away in the Catskills. The ceremony location is gorgeous and the perfect spot for sunset photos later in the evening. Tia looked stunning in her Watters gown (and those shoes!) and Brian's outfit fit the overall theme of the day perfectly. Tia created so many of her beautiful details for her wedding day. The wooden signs and place name holders couldn't have been a better fit for their wedding. And the earthy bouquets tied together the bridesmaids outfits so well. Tia and Brian's dog made an appearance throughout the day and had such an honorable presence - I just loved him! It was such a gorgeous wedding with most importantly such a loving and fun couple!
Some days you come across a wedding so beautiful, you just can't choose a favorite photo. Kasey and Jamie's wedding from Deborahann Photography is one of those weddings. Her dress, the setting, the flowers, the cake.... all of it more stunning than the next. All of it a perfect blend of rustic-but-elegant, with a touch of whimsy.
From Debbie: Kasey and Jamie met at an 80’s party seven years ago. They definitely defined the cliche, “love at first sight” since they have been inseparable ever since! They both share the love of the outdoors, wildlife and nature, so it was totally fitting that Jamie proposed to Kasey at their favorite fishing spot at a lake that Kasey had spent her childhood years enjoying. It was here that Jamie baited a fish hook with the engagement ring tied to it. He turned to Kasey and asked if she could bait the hook. It was then that she saw the ring tied to the hook and as she turned around, Jamie was down on one knee and then proceeded to ask Kasey to be his forever!
As the plans for their wedding started to unfold, they both wanted their wedding celebration to be in the true nature of simple, classic and an authentic style to really define their relationship. Kasey’s love for flowers and the outdoors totally came together as they celebrated at the Rock Island Lake Club. The day was filled with celebration, dancing and enjoying their families on a beautiful lake.
I think the most special thing about their wedding was the beautiful florals created by Tracey Reynolds Floral designs. Tracey knows how to create magic to say the least. It was a feeling of whimsicality with a beautiful undertone of country charm. Kasey wanted to feel as if she was in a garden surrounded by her favorite flowers and that is exactly how it turned out. The day was truly relaxed and was not rushed at all. Everyone just took their time and one of the nicest things that I saw was that they truly enjoyed every moment of their wedding day.
