It feels a little bit like Christmas morning today, because we're finally sharing a shoot that is a very big piece of our heart. The dream was to create a shoot that both celebrated the wonderful Red Oak advertisers and friends that have cheered us on this last year, and also represented the diverse and incredibly talented vendors in our area. We could not be more thrilled with what this day turned out to be, and the camaraderie that blossomed between friends.
We're separating the shoot into two posts - one today and one tomorrow - so that we can do all of these beautiful photos justice. Our hope is that you're inspired by the possibilities of what this group of talented vendors can create - we certainly are!

We fell in love with this shoot the moment we saw the very first photo, and know you will, too. Kyo Morishima and Kristen Rockhill dreamed up the most perfect Man Men-Inspired Styled Shoot that is dripping with inspiration and creative ideas. Everything from the bridal gowns (two of them, and they're both stunning), to the perfectly executed floral arrangements is totally on point, and more beautiful than the next. Pin away... this one is a keeper!
The Nassau Inn is a historic hotel (founded in 1756!) with lots of character right in the center of downtown Princeton. When they approached us about partnering with stylist Kristin Rockhill to do a photoshoot showing off some of their wedding spaces, we were immediately on board. We met with Kristin and Jamie Volkert from the Nassau Inn to brainstorm ideas, and I mentioned that I'd always thought it would be fun to do a "MadMen" style shoot at the Nassau Inn, since it has such a charmingly retro vibe. Much to my delight, Kristin and Jamie loved the idea, and ran with it!As Jamie explained, "Our ultimate goal when planning this photo shoot was to bring to life all of the qualities the Inn has to offer and to show prospective couples that they really can have it all. The tree-adorned back patio adds just enough nature to your day while allowing you to still have the convenience of our elegant ballroom. The MadMen photo shoot brought to life the nostalgia of the property and showcased multiple venue spaces that the Nassau Inn has to offer." Kristin pulled together a wonderful team for the photo shoot. April Nicole Designs created an unusual wooden backdrop wall for the ceremony setting on the Nassau Inn's back patio, and West Elm donated decor and furniture for the outdoor lounge area. The bride's dresses -- which were just stunning -- were from BHLDN. And I adore the bride's perfect Sixties-style bouffant updo by Letitia Kakas. One of the best parts about this photo shoot was the chemistry between the male and female models. They are a couple in real life.... not engaged yet, but we were all nudging them to make it official soon. They sure seem like they are ready for it. ;)

This intimate, boho-chic bridal shower shoot from Nicole Taylor is the perfect blend of vibrant florals, neutral colors and full of inspiration for any event. Silvery Moon Guesthouse was the perfect backdrop for the bohemian vibe, and the styling from Allium and Patchwork Planning made the entire event welcoming and warm. Vintage glassware, fruits and a flower-crown session? This is a shower we wish we were invited to!
From Nicole: Located in an old historic chapel in Stroudsburg, PA in the Poconos. We were contacted by the venue owner Liz who had recently purchased the property containing an old school house, an old historic chapel and a beautifully decorated home that she now calls The Silvery Moon Guesthouse. Looking to offer her space for small events and weddings Candice of Patchwork Planning and Renee of Forget Me Not Rentals decided on a vibrant bridal shower with a Boho feel. Sarah of Allium contributed to the styling and completed the look and feel with her beautiful floral designs including the stunning floral necklace worn by our model for the shoot.
The inspiration for this shoot drew from two completely different worlds. We wanted to to go for a raw bohemian vibe pulling in a ton of neutral tones, but we also wanted the color to make a statement so we included bold pinks and orange. We used pops of color in the florals, fruits, and other small details, while maintaining a neutral pallet within the furniture and the throw pillows and poufs. To tie in the florals, we also used them to accentuate the adorable buttercream cupcakes.
Since we wanted to inspire a bridal shower, we thought a flower crown activity would be a fun and unique way to entertain guests. We wanted the seating situation to be cozy and inviting so we used a low bohemian style table with some throw pillows and poufs.

This is easily one of the most gorgeous styled shoots we've seen yet. Jenna Brianne was inspired by a English Garden Party, and every single element, from the bride's silver-blue dress to the heirloom jewelry, ties in beautifully. We love how every detail stands on it's own, but overall, allows the bride and groom to be the spotlight. Feminine, sweet and completely timeless, this shoot is certainly one to save for your own wedding inspiration.
From Jenna: This wedding inspiration shoot brings to mind visions to a romantic English garden party. The soft pastels, lush gardens, and rolling hills are not only incredibly romantic, but classic and timeless. The bride's silver-blue Truvelle wedding dress, with the jewel encrusted bodice, is so stylish and so perfect for such a stunning setting. The hair and makeup was kept soft and delicate, and the florals lush and loose. While the entire inspiration shoot has a sweeter and more feminine look to it, we stuck to blue and neutral tones to complement the greens of the garden and surrounding land.

Boxwood gardens, barn tables and vintage place settings... this gorgets Rustic Garden Chic Inspiration shoot has it all. Ann Blake Photo and Marsha Flowers Events pulled together some of the East Coast's best vendors at the gorgeous Appleford Estates. A vintage dress, stunning blooms and each detail more beautiful than the next: this shoot is nothing short of magical.
FROM ANN BLAKE: Marsha Flowers Events, collectively brought together a team of East Coast vendors for a "Rustic Garden Chic Wedding" inspiration shoot, nestled in the beauty of Main Line, Pennsylvania at Appleford Estates. The country estate complete with lush boxwood gardens, glistening streams and stone walls adorned with romantic vines, proved to be the perfect setting. The focus areas for the inspiration areas were a rustic reception farm table, complete with a floral runner and vintage place settings; vintage rentals were curated to show of a new trend of creating a seated outdoor lounge for wedding guests; and a romantic floral wall along a tree lined walk way for an intimate first look and couple's portraits area. For the last decade, "wedding season" was roughly defined as summertime. Maybe late-spring and early-fall would be thrown in there, too, but any wedding vendor would tell you summer was their busiest time of year. Lately though, we're seeing a resurgence of winter weddings, and shoots like this one by Cinnamon Wolfe Photography, one of Red Oak's Preferred Vendors are probably why. The winter blooms, the colors, the modern-cool vibe and the perfectly crisp winter day all make this wedding inspiration shoot completely swoon-worthy.
From Cinnamon: The modern charm of Sterlingbrook Farm & Events was the backdrop for this sweet session styled to highlight gorgeous lace details and inspiration for brides looking for an outdoor barn wedding.
The gorgeous florals mixed with the modern arch provide a perfect backdrop for wedding vows and the stunning barn window provides an ideal location for romantic portraits.
Filling the table with silver dollar eucalyptus as a faux runner made a lush juxtaposition to the oversized glass jars used as centerpieces.
