Poolside Bachelorette Party • Lin Pirnelle Photography

One last send-off to summer! Whether you’re celebrating a bachelorette party or hosting a pool party, we hope this styled shoot, photographed by Lin Pernille Photography and planned by KC You There, shows you some ways to have fun in the sun with your squad this Labor Day Weekend!

Welcome Bag: Fill a canvas tote with beauty products no girl could resist. From face masks to Essie nail polish and even Laduree macaroons. Even better: include items that the girls could use throughout the day or weekend getaway!

The Food: Keep this simple! You can’t go wrong with these mini baguettes from Perfect Picnic – both adorable and delicious! The best part: your guests can pick them up and go, sans plates and flatware.

The Floats: Oversized pool floats are all the rage and truly make any pool look so chic. Whether you have one or ten, online sites like White Elephant Designs and FUNBOY have more options then you’ll know what to do with. Don’t forget the pump!

The “Bride” Stuff: This one is for the girls celebrating a bachelorette. Not all brides care for the sashes, pins, tiaras, t-shirts, etc. To make sure your bride still stands out, try offering her a more chic option like this bride choker from Erin Dana or customized beach hat from White Elephant Designs. Another perk: she can reuse them for her honeymoon!

The Style: You’ll likely be lounging poolside all day or weekend, so remind the girls to pack their cover ups. These vibrant pieces from Camilla will definitely add a pop of color to your photos! To make your girls feel included in every way, you can also fill their welcome totes with flip flops, faux floral crowns, hair ties from Love Mia + Co., and fun temporary tattoos! (Just be mindful of where you place them if the wedding is soon after the party – you don’t want to have funny-looking tanlines on her wedding day!)

Garden Harvest Bridal Shower • Lin Pernille

If the shower is this gorgeous, we can't wait to see the wedding! Lin Pernille captured every last detail of this stunning bridal shower in Westchester, NY. From the custom cutting board favors to the elaborate floral centerpieces, Nicole's Bridal Shower is to one for the books!

From Lin:  When the bride is an interior designer, you know it’s going to be a gorgeous, detail-oriented, stylish bridal shower. Hosted by the mother-of-the-bride Anna in her New Rochelle garden, Nicole‘s bridal shower was definitely one to remember!

Each place setting included a custom made cutting board by Wine Devices and a menu topped with a sprig of rosemary. In lieu of name cards, guests’ names were written onto the kraft paper runner. In addition to floral centerpieces by Flowers by Sutton, the tables were also topped with fresh artisan bread & herbs for the guests to garnish their plates with.

As the guests arrived, they were invited to enjoy champagne, cocktails, passionfruit mint iced tea, rosemary lemonade, or rose water. The catering staff of Dinner Thyme served guests watermelon cubes with feta mousse, Maryland crab cakes, cucumber mint canapés, as well as cheese and crudités.

As the guests mingled, they filled out advice cards for the future Mr. & Mrs. and left their best wishes next to a Fuji Instax selfie in the guest book. If they were hot, they were welcome to a parasol or paper fan, or a blanket if they felt chilly.

The hostess & MOB Anna gave a sweet toast, then the event planner Grace J Bourne kicked off the first bridal shower game. After “He Said, She Said” and “What’s In Your Purse”, the lunch buffet opened and guests enjoyed Mediterranean grilled shrimp, salmon nicoise, and orzo salad.

The bridesmaids gave a funny & heartfelt speech to the future bride, then the dessert table was opened and the present-opening began! As Nicole was opening the last of her presents, her future husband Lee made a guest appearance – the perfect great grand finale to a fun-filled day!

Fall Engagement at Rockland Lake • Lin Pernille Photography

We're about to enter 90+ temps this weekend in another summer heat wave, so it's only appropriate that we're already dreaming of fall. Sweaters, boots and pumpkin-everything? Yes, please! This adorable fall engagement from Lin Pernille Photography is just what we need to start looking forward to cooler temperatures. With gorgeous fall foliage as their backdrop, Kristen, Michael and their adorable puppy make engagement photos seem like a walk in the park (pun intended!)

FROM LIN: In just under a year, this awesome couple is getting married! Their wedding day will mark exactly 6 years and 1 day together. We decided to take their engagement photos near their house at Rockland Lake State Park, right at the peak of the gorgeous fall foliage! They had considered having a fall wedding but the timing wouldn't work, so instead they choose to take their engagement photos amidst all the colorful leaves instead. They were so easy to photograph and did awesome at their shoot – it made me even more excited for their wedding day 6/3/17!
