It's just getting colder and colder here in the northeast, but our weddings keep reminding us that warmer weather is just a few months away. Kelly & Andrew's summer wedding at Cathedral Basilica in Philadelphia is perfection on every level. A sophisticated dress, mismatched bridesmaid dresses, and bold and organic florals all made this wedding a modern classic. One of our favorites, Emily Wren, was there to capture it all, putting her signature touch on everything.
From Emily: Kelly & Andrew's wedding was a beautiful juxtaposition of modern and traditional, romantic and carefree! They chose The Cathedral Basilica in Downtown Philadelphia for their ceremony location; a stunning, impressive church full of grandeur and awe. For portraits we took a quick walk over to The Barnes Museum, stopping under a canopy of sycamore trees and playing with the reflections in pool that surrounds the modern museum. Kelley looked absolutely beautiful with her free-flowing locks and chic classic Theia gown from lovely bride. Her summer bouquet by Flourish Floral Artistry was bright and fun!
JG Domestic The Cira Center was the perfect reception location for these two. A great mix of rustic, sleek and modern. The bright blooms really popped against the clean and open backdrop of the reception room. My heart just melted watching Kelley & Andrew's first dance. These two were brimming with excitement all day!
We absolutely adore Laura + Jeffery's summer Philadelphia wedding from Emily Wren Photography. The Union League was the perfect backdrop for a classic and timeless Sunday brunch wedding, full of gorgeous flowers, a stunning couple and endless joy.
From Emily: Laura & Jeffery held a Sunday Brunch wedding at the Union League. Everything about their day had classic Philadelphia feel! As they shared their first look in Rittenhouse Square a gust of wind lifted Laura's long veil into the air, making for a magical windswept moment!
Papertini decorated The Union League with bright yellow and green arrangements. The juxtaposition of the classic ornate architecture with the garden party feel of the flowers really enlivened the space.
Kelly + David's engagement session almost has us wishing for cooler temps (almost)! We love everything about these photos by Emily Wren - cozy sweaters, a fire pit and hot cocoa... all at Terrain? The rustic charm and unique layout is the perfect setting!
From Emily: Looking for a location to take your engagement photos this winter or early spring? Terrain's rustic charm and winter greenery provided the perfect backdrop for Kelly & David's engagement session. First we snapped some shots as they cozied up around the fire pit. We took more portraits inside surrounded by the pretty ferns and succulents of the greenhouse. Then in the cafe Kelly & David sipped cocoa as I captured some more candid moments. I had so much fun getting to know these two and really can't wait for their wedding at Brookmill Farm this fall!
