Classic and Stylish Wedding at Eagle Oaks Country Club • Mekina Saylor Weddings

Anytime Mekina Saylor is behind the camera, you know that what you're about to see will be epically gorgeous, and this summer wedding is hands-down one of our favorites. Chris + Allie's Eagle Oaks Country Club Wedding is not only classic in every way, but also stylish beyond words. We love every single detail, and know you will, too!

From Mekina: Chris and Allie met when they were eleven and remained friends throughout childhood. They technically met at their sister's soccer game. Both Chris and Allie have a sister the same age. Allie's sister went to play in college so Chris and Ally were at several tournaments throughout growing up. After college, they knew it was meant to be and decided to marry on her grandparents' wedding anniversary, June 20th. For the entire year of planning, Allie ran around the tri-state area with her mom, aunts, and grandmothers, collecting all types of mercury glass for their tablescapes. It was a romantic touch, and she couldn't get enough!! Their parents are the best of friends, so after fifteen years, you couldn't tell the two families apart at the wedding. However, no wedding is complete without something going wrong. Well on the morning of, her brother realized his tux was different than everyone else's. The vintage car she imagined and was planning on surprising her dad with never showed up. Their monogram was wrong on our ice sculpture and it still was the most magnificent day! They are now living their happily-ever-after in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Bear Mountain West Point Wedding at The Thayer Hotel • Michelle Lange Photography

We never tire of the classics, and this gorgeous wedding from Michelle Lange Photography is certainly no exception. Wonderfully elegant with a touch modern, The Thayer Hotel at West Point was the perfect setting for Stephanie and Matt's wedding. The flowers, the dress, the stationery... all expertly coordinated and utterly timeless. Go ahead, refill your coffee... all the incredible photos will be waiting for you right here!

From the bride:  We met through a mutual friend who played the ultimate role of matchmaker and introduced us one night out in NYC. She thought we would be perfect for each other - and she was so right! Five years later, Matt proposed by the beach in Watch Hill, RI.

When looking for venues, we visited all types and kinds - from wineries to banquet halls to farms. When we saw The Thayer Hotel at West Point we were blown away by the beauty, grandeur, history and character. It was incredibly special and we knew right away this was the place. Our wedding style was romantic, classic, and vintage filled with many personal details.

A tip for other couples - if you’re debating the first look, do it! It was exciting and special to have that moment just the two of us and then afterwards we felt like we spent the rest of the day together -- taking photos, hanging out, getting prepared for the ceremony. It took out the nerves of walking down the aisle too! Best decision ever!

Also...  for outdoor weddings, love your back up space! A hurricane was coming in the week of our wedding so rain was in the forecast. While we were able to have the ceremony outside on the river as planned, if we needed to have it inside, the room overlooked the river with floor to ceiling windows. On our wedding day, we weren't stressed at all!

There were so many memorable moments but one we won't ever forget is the very last song of the night, everyone was on the dance floor, surrounding the two of us, singing and dancing. We felt extremely lucky to be literally surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, celebrating the first day of the rest of our lives.

Rustic and Woodsy Wedding at The Roxbury Barn • All Who Wander Events

The only thing we love more than weddings from our preferred vendors, is when our vendors are the couple in the wedding. We just love everything about this wedding from All Who Wander Events, with their owner, Nicole, as the bride! Clean Plate Pictures captured every last detail at Roxbury Barn, which is pretty much one of the most amazing venues we've ever seen. Check out all the beautiful images below!

From All Who Wander Events: The focus on this wedding from the start was family, food, and fun. The small town of Roxbury, NY provided the perfect backdrop for Andrew + Nicole’s wedding weekend. From Friday through Sunday guests stayed in a local, themed hotel (we're talking about you Roxbury Motel), setting the tone right from the start. The wedding took place at The Roxbury Barn, the perfect rustic location. The ceremony was nestled in a pine grove where guests were surrounded by hundreds of trees and serenaded by an acoustic guitar. The cocktail hour took place on the hilltop with 360 degree views of the Catskill Mountains. Then, dinner took place under the stars and they danced the night away inside the barn. Nicole’s vision from the start was to play off of all of all of the natural elements surrounding the barn. We worked with Nicole to create her intimate, refined rustic wedding by using light grays, ivory, whites, and little pops of gold to enhance the barn and the surrounding woods. Our favorite part was seeing everyone set off wish lanterns when the wedding moved from the barn up to the bonfire. We love The Roxbury Barn!
