When some of Philadelphia's most talented vendors come together to break the mold, the result is pure beauty. Minh from Du Solieil Photographie dreamed up a shoot for the Avant Garde bride: one who embraces asymmetry and wants to add that "something special" to her wedding day. This wedding inspiration, shot at the gorgeous Merchants' Exchange Building, features a stunning Priscilla Costa dress and jewelry from the always incredible L. Priori. Proof that non-traditional is always beautiful, this shoot will be a favorite of ours for a long time.
From Minh: We wanted to experiment with non-traditional elements that appeal to an "avant-garde" bride who embraces asymmetry and loves to put a color spin on her wedding dress. The Hadar gown, designed by Priscilla Costa, has an intricate and "arrhythmic" beaded lace motif that drapes over the sheer 3/4 sleeve top and an A-line layered soft tulle skirt. The subtle gradient effect of the blush tulle compliments the sheer open back and the complexion of the skin.
Air Hair and Makeup went for a dramatic silvery smoky eye makeup and an asymmetrical facial interest that repeats the beaded lace on her dress and offsets the curves and dimensions in her "bouquet." The rings, curated by L.Priori, truly showcase the best of old world craftsmanship with antique old European cut diamonds and the bypass design loved and popularized in the Victorian era.
