No better way to kick off a Monday! We absolutely adore Shuang and Anthony's Pittsburgh wedding from Dawn Derbyshire Photography. With a fresh peach and mint color palette, gorgeous florals and countless DIY projects, this fall wedding is an absolute classic. Our favorite part? Anthony's reaction to seeing his bride for the first time... or maybe Shuang's stunning gown? Definitely the fact that these two didn't let the rain dampen their day. True love at it's finest!
From Dawn: Shuang and Anthony tied the knot on a rain soaked day at the gorgeous Choderwood property, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Shuang wore a stunning Claire Pettibone dress, adorned with butterflies, perfect for their colorful outdoor wedding. The day was filled with a mix of Shuang's amazing DIY, gorgeous florals, and a pretty peach and mint color palette. Anthony and Shuang had a first look in one of the small gardens on the property, followed by portraits with their bridal party. While the sun was out for the photos, clouds loomed and the rain came down just before the wedding ceremony. The pair took the weather obstacles in stride and spent the day laughing and having a total blast. After the ceremony, there was a small cocktail hour complete with a DIY bar and sushi. As cocktail hour went on, the pair switched into more traditional Chinese outfits for a tea ceremony with their families. Once the tea ceremony had wrapped up, the pouring rain came back. Despite raining out the beautiful reception set up under the tents on the property, the newlyweds decided to take a chance and do their first dance, a speech and Shuang and her mother's dance before unexpectedly switching venues for a intimate dinner in the city.
