Amanda + Colin's Engagement Session at Linvilla Orchards In Aston, Pennsylvania could easily be out of a movie. With thunderstorms in the distance, these two braved the weather with Kristina Elizabeth Photography, and the result was beautiful. Romantic, timeless and sweet, this vineyard engagement is absolute perfection.
From Kristina: This was an engagement shoot that I was able to do at Linvilla Orchards in Aston, PA. When we arrived it was thundering off in the distance (hence the sky), and almost 90 degrees. These two were such rockstars and did not complain once, they didn't even want to reschedule because of the weather! I was so impressed. Their engagement story is so sweet, and I love that it was during such a classic event for this area at the Polar Bear Plunge.
You can see the true love that these two share in these photos, and I hope you all love them too!
Amanda and Colin's Engagement Story: Since my parents first got a house in Sea Isle when I was a little girl we have made it a tradition to go down to sea isle every Presidents' Day weekend for their annual polar bear plunge, when Colin came around 6 years ago he joined in with the tradition. Colin always goes in and I usually talk a big game but end up at the waters edge holding a towel wide open for him. This past February 13th 2016 was the coldest plunge sea isle had ever had and a record breaking low temperature, I honestly thought they would end up cancelling the plunge all together. The usual events occurred we all piled into my Dad's suv ran up to the spot my mom had already marked out for us and was waiting, dropped our things and those who were going into the water ran in . Per usually Colin ran in and I waited there at the waters edge with his towel. As Colin came out between towel hand off my friend Megan passed off the engagement ring and Colin got down on one knee . There in the sand seconds after running out of the water Colin asked me to marry him ! I was so surprised ! when I turned around my whole family and his whole family were there waiting for us a total surprise as well . It was the most perfect day and engagement I could ask for. I had my guy, I was in my favorite place, and I had my family around me :).. Additionally once we got of the beach and back in to our warm house to celebrate I learned more about the process Colin went through in getting my ring . Colin picked out my ring and designed an extra special piece to be added to the inside/ underneath of the ring for me which was rose gold with a morganite stone on each side :) you can see this in the the picture of our ring , every bite of our day was so special. We'll be taking our plunge into marriage next August 2017.
