Have I mentioned how much I love winter weddings? No?! If I had to do it all again (to the same guy, of course!), a small, intimate winter wedding would be at the top of my list... and today's wedding from Photography by Leandra is providing lots of eye candy for my daydream! This 1920's art deco themed wedding was inspired by a Governors Island Jazz festival that Paul and Margaret have attended over the years. The Madison Hotel provided the perfect backdrop, and Margaret was stunning in her Eliza Jane Howell gown and bold complemented by bold winter florals. We LOVE when couples stay true to themselves on their wedding day, and this one is certainly no exception.
From Leandra: The Madison Hotel was the perfect venue to host this beautiful 1920’s art deco themed wedding. Paul and Margaret love jazz and over the years have enjoyed attending a 1920’s style jazz festival at Governors Island. So having an art deco themed wedding really brought out their styles and personalities. The Bride's Eliza Jane Howell gown was so stunning and her hair and makeup by Pink Comb Studio really gave her that classic look. She looked absolutely stunning.
Their intimate wedding ceremony was filled with lots of tears of joy and after hearing their beautiful handwritten wedding vows there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. After their ceremony, the Conservatory was converted into a beautiful reception space with centerpieces filled with white ostrich feathers. It was such a romantic wedding filled with so much love and so much style.
