THIS is how you start off the day with a bang! This incredibly gorgeous styled shoot from NKB Photo is everything pretty rolled into one, and we secretly wish we were there to witness it all! With the backdrop of Pioneer Farm in the Hudson Valley, this wedding vendor team dreamed up a day to inspire brides + grooms looking for something different: rustic and elegant, sophisticated and modern, and oh-so-pretty. Stunning stationery, dreamy florals, vintage rugs, romantic makeup, farmhouse furniture.....we could spend all day talking about our favorites (it's really ALL of it), but instead will let the pictures tell the story! Enjoy!
Set just 50 miles outside of New York City in the Hudson Valley lies the expansive property known as Pioneer Farm. Owner, Matthew Hedge, created a warm and welcoming environment for this beautiful styled shoot. With it's three antiqued homes, barn, and air streams in the distance there is much to explore on this well loved farm.
When they first heard of this newer wedding venue that doubles as an AirBnb, they knew the possibilities were endless. Samantha Linn of Makeup by Samantha Linn and Nicole Becker of NKB Photo came together to bring a vision of an elegant and elevated farm wedding to life. Alongside vendors they had previously worked with and some they had not, they created a vision of NYC elegance meets Hudson Valley farm. By using vibrant colors in the floral arrangements by Sweet Talk Floral and natural elements such as wood, porcelain, hand dyed fabrics by The Bayith, and rattan in the table settings which were organized by Flying Little Birds Events and Planning we were able to create the sophisticated farm vibe they were hoping to achieve! The Balloon Babes created a fun balloon waterfall for the air streams and Sweet Talk Floral adorned the ceremony space with a custom arbor made just for the farm. Lace and Belle Designs provided us with hand lettered welcome signage, a beautifully seating chart featuring custom favors from Flying Little Birds, and an invitation suite any bride would dream of. Cake Decorator, Amy Wartel of Erie Bakery, whipped up a sweet confection for our dessert table, again featuring natural wood elements and flowers wrapped around its edges.
Styles on Location created a subtle half up, half down style for their bride, Kyra, and then updated her look with a sleek chignon for the reception setting. Samantha Linn kept the makeup natural with peachy tones, adding just enough definition, and a soft lip. Their bride, Kyra, was adorned in a lace and tulle Romona Keveza gown and an embellished floral belt courtesy of Bridal Atelier Montclair and jewelry from White Diamonds Newport. Brackish Bowties provided their groom, Patrick, with an ultra chic bowtie constructed of pheasant feathers in a rich emerald tone that tied into the overall setting so perfectly.
Together these wonderful vendors brought the sophisticated farm wedding to life through color, texture and beautiful design elements as you can see from the images created by NKB Photo.
