Even after a few weeks off, I'm still left speechless by some posts, and todays is no exception. Inspired by the English countryside and the stunning historic Carinwood Estate, Jessica Cooper and Mallory from Mallory Weiss Planning assembled an incredible group of vendors to bring their dream to life. Rustic Drift, one of our favorite Vendor Guide Members, provided hand-built vintage rentals, adding the perfect layer of texture and warmth to the styled shoot. Lilac and blush tones complimented the beauty of Carinwood Estate and paired perfectly with the summer florals from BeLovely. Brides + Grooms, get ready to take some notes: this one is SO good.
The inspiration for this shoot was a romantic and timeless countryside. Our venue, The Cairnwood Estate, was constructed in 1892 and became a historic landmark in 2008. We wanted to highlight the beauty and light of this gorgeous home and grounds. We decided on rentals that would add just the right touch to this estate while keeping with the vintage theme. The patterned china and purple glassware added to the time period of the venue while enhancing the colors of the florals. We decided that lilac and blush would add the perfect accents to this shoot, bringing out the color and beauty that this estate had to offer. When dressing our model we wanted her to look both elegant and airy. The flow of her gown and the setting of her hair created a romantic yet relaxed look with just a hint of greenery added to her updo to blend with the greenery surrounding her. We wanted her to feel as if she were a girl of the countryside. Our other model was dressed to pair with the blush and gold tones and we let her do her thing so her playfulness would show. Each element to the shoot was added to make a historic home come to life in 2017.
