Eclectic & Colorful Inspirational Shoot at The Art Factory in Paterson NJ • Ronya + Co and Opal and Jaye Photography

Oh friends, you're in for a treat today! Full of bold colors, fun patterns and eclectic details, It seems only fitting that we share this wedding inspiration on Cinqo de Mayo! Ronya + Co did a phenomenal job of turning the Art Factory in Paterson, New Jersey into the perfect backdrop for this styled shoot, and Opal + Jaye Photography was there to capture every little detail. We're obsessed with the gorgeous spring blooms, the perfectly coordinated stationery and of course the cake that is certainly too beautiful to eat. Enjoy!

From Ronya + Co: I’m always on the hunt for unique spaces and interesting elements to use as wedding inspiration. The Art Factory in Paterson NJ has been just the right muse. Paterson was known as America's “Silk City” due to the abundance of silk mills (and millionaires) within the city over 100 years ago. The Art Factory, formerly a silk factory built in the late 1800s, now serves as a 17 building art complex where photographers, film directors, and artists of all different mediums come to create.

I knew I had to organize this shoot in a room of the factory that just screamed “Do something fun in here!” Colorful ribbons, left over from a previous art installation, hung from the ceiling high windows. With the exception of one out-of-this-world green steel door, the rest of the room was a blank canvas of white brick walls. I was sure Kate of Opal & Jaye Photography would capture the fun & colorful vibe this room was longing for, and she did just that!

The vision behind this shoot was a mix of industrial textures, colorful accents & pops of vintage glamour. Every talented vendor and contribution helped make the vision for this out-of-the-norm shoot come to life. The end result was an eclectic & modern twist on the glamour of a time when millionaires ran the city.
