Sara and Justin's engagement session at Constitution Marsh Audubon Center is absolute perfection. Cozy and adorable, these two were naturals in front of the camera with Kerri Lynne Photography, but we're pretty certain that their dog Frankie stole the show. Donning a bowtie, he joined the first part of their session at Fahnestock State Park! These two are clearly head-over-heels in love and with photos this gorgeous, we're already looking forward to their wedding day!
From Kerri: When I first spoke with Sara and Justin, I knew these two were really adventurous and so in love. They met in college in Albany, and their first date was at an Indian restaurant. They found out that they were both originally from Westchester/Putnam counties! Such a small world! They share similar worlds on a day to day basis too, as Sara is an art teacher and Justin a history teacher. For awhile they even worked at the same school! They LOVE the outdoors, and love to camp, hike, and kayak.
Justin had planned to propose to Sara by taking her on a kayaking trip to an island they had found in Delaware. But one day, Sara walked in on Justin looking at her engagement ring. So later that night he put on his suit, grabbed their dog Frankie, and was on one knee asking Sara to marry him! And of course she said yes!!
When planning their engagement session, I knew immediately that these two would be up for an adventure! I envisioned a woodland styled engagement for them, because of their love of the outdoors. But I had also been dreaming for awhile of taking a couple to a place I love to hike, the marshland in Garrison. So…we decided to do both!! And boy was it worth it! Even Frankie came along for the first part of the shoot at Fahnestock State Park! She loved the trail and it made for such cute shots of Sara and Justin as they were so entertained by her, haha! The woodland trail was so perfect for them.
Then we drove to Garrison, put on walking / hiking shoes and hiked in to the Marshland boardwalk at sunset. The light there was pure magic and I was in photographer heaven!
