As much as we love the classics, watching local vendors bend the rules of "traditional" and created something completely unique completely sets our hearts on fire. This boho, jewel-toned styled shoot from Shelby Hostetler is full of inspiration at every turn. Hingework creative lab set the tone with its modern, industrial space, and each and every vendor contributed their unique skill set to create a colorful, eclectic vibe. To the modern, artsy, non-traditional bride: this shoot is for you!
From Shelby: I have always been a huge fan of brides that aren't afraid to use lots of bold colors. In this day and age, most people choose one or two colors to incorporate into their wedding day. We went off of a palette of jewel tones with the intent of providing some colorful inspiration to brides that might like color as much as we do!
We love the bohemian vibe and we wanted to “marry” that concept, (if you’ll excise the pun) with an industrial theme and elements. The Hingework Creative Lab was the perfect space for us to use in downtown Lancaster City, as it used to be a cigar box factory but has since been beautifully renovated while still keeping the character and integrity of the original building.
The clean, modern, sophisticated skirt and train of the Janell Berté gown merged with the delicate, romantic lace of its bodice is simply swoonworthy, the florals were bright and fun, and the non-traditional engagement ring was of course colorful and dazzling. The hair was romantic and flowy and the makeup, classically edgy. We imagine this bride to be a modern, romantic, non-traditional, artsy type.
