Classic Spring Wedding at The New York Athletic Club • Rick Messina Photography

Oh gosh, there are just not enough ways to say "we love this wedding". We could look through this one 100 times and never tire of it, it's that good! Maggie + Patrick's wedding day is full of everything that a classic New York City wedding should be: a stunning lace dress, the most perfect shade of dusty pink bridesmaids dresses, men in bowties and the sophisticated backdrop of the New York Athletic Club. Every smile, kiss and stolen moment was captured perfectly by Rick Messina

From Rick: Maggie is intelligent and kind. Patrick is a classic gentleman of the rarest kind. She is known for her selflessness in helping others. Patrick is also well loved. Patrick is best know for his acts of kindness toward others. It's no wonder these two found one another and fell in love....

Maggie and a group of friends used to watch "The Office" together every Thursday night, starting her freshman year at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. During her sophomore year, one member of the group invited a friend from high school who had just transferred - Patrick. They became close friends, and stayed so all throughout college. After a school dance, just before graduation, something changed and their friendship turned into what would become a beautiful romance.

Sometime later on a typical trip to visit Patrick’s family and their alma mater, Holy Cross, on one of the most beautiful spots on campus, Patrick proposed. Maggie says, “I was shocked, and forgot to say yes. The first question I asked after I realized what was happening was, “do my parents know?!" Yes, Patrick had gone to speak with them the Sunday before. My second question was, "do your parents know?" The answer? "Nope, we're going to tell them right now!" The only question that remained to be answered was an obvious yes from Maggie.

Maggie and Patrick decided to get married at the church she grew up going to two blocks from her parents house where she got ready the day of her wedding. “It was so special to have that time walking from the house to the Church with my parents -- bridesmaids up ahead and a group of neighbors tailing behind.” says Maggie.Patrick surprised her with two captains chairs from Holy Cross with their names and class year carved on them. They were waiting on the altar for them to sit in. Maggie says, " I saw them before I walked down the aisle and knew exactly what they were, and I was so happy I cried.""The reception was just what we wanted -- a big party. We still smile about how so many of our loved ones traveled from near and far to celebrate with us. Everyone ate, drank, danced, and had a great time." explains Maggie.

Maggie and Patrick had a small table at the entrance when you walked in to their reception-- you could say it was a Holy Cross table. They had the school's banner that is necessary for every HC wedding for the school picture, plus a drawing of Fenwick Porch her parents had gotten her as a graduation gift (the same spot where they got engaged 4 years later), and two blow ups of they college ID cards that her maid of honor had given to me for Christmas. They wedding is full of NYC vibes, great lavender and citrus colors in beautiful gladiolas and hypericum berries in her bridal bouquet as well as mauve bridesmaid dresses and bouquets.

Romantic Wedding in the Rain at The High Point • Adrienne Matz

I have a soft spot for couples who get married in the rain, and when a photographer as incredible as Adrienne Matz is behind the camera, I know I'm going to love it. Full of romantic details, soft colors and lots of joy, Erin + Dan's spring wedding at High Point is as gorgeous as they come.

From Adrienne: There’s no doubt in my mind that Erin & Dan were meant for each other! They were married at St. Patrick Church with their reception at the beautiful High Point in Malvern, PA. Erin looked amazing and wore her mother’s veil and Dan looked dapper in his J.Crew suit and blush tie. They spring color palette of blush pink, spring green, grey & ivory was such a perfect combination! For their portraits we wandered around the historic section of the property and even had to take out the umbrella for a bit. Erin & Dan were a perfect example of how to embrace the rain! From the moment they saw each other for the first time, to their sweet first dance, to getting soaked in the rain to top off the night, these two couldn't stop smiling. Not to mention, they were surrounded by some of the nicest friends and family ever! Enjoy a look into their wedding day!

Romantic Wedding Inspiration • Cinnamon Wolfe and Deborah Ann Photography

We love styled shoots for so many reasons, and at the very top of that list is the endless inspiration that happens when a group of talented and creative wedding vendors dream big. This Rustic Romantic styled shoot from TWO of our Vendor Guide Members, Cinnamon Wolfe and DeborahAnn Photography, is overflowing with beauty, style and incredible vision.

From Cinnamon: Having two photographers plan and prepare a styled wedding shoot is no easy task! But thanks to an amazing team of vendors, Debbie and I were able to pull it off and everything came together so beautifully!

We wanted to highlight a very romantic and rustic barn wedding in the Spring at the amazingly beautiful Sterlingbrook Farm and Events. This venue is to die for! A gorgeous, rustic barn settled in between fields of soft green grass with rustic fences and grand trees. Sterlingbrook is also an equine center so there are plenty of majestic horses to greet you as you come in and look on as you do your first look or bridal portraits!

We loved that our models were a real life couple and wanted to incorporate their two children as a flower girl and ring bearer. They stole the show! How cute are those suspenders?

We were pleasantly surprised the day of our shoot to have some hot air balloons make an appearance! From the custom calligraphy, perfect naked cake, to the out of this world organic and loose florals...everything about this came together just as envisioned!

Timeless Blush Wedding at Centenary College • Deborah Ann Photography

There really aren't words to adequately describe how much we love this wedding from Deborah Ann Photography. Classic and timeless, elegant and refined, perfectly intimate and decidedly minimalist. Rachel and Luke knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding day, and brought it to life beautifully. Go get lost in the details and the love these two have for each other... we know you'll love this one as much as we do!

From Deborah Ann: Rachel was best friends with Luke's brother Johnny when she was 16. I guess you could say that Rachel was close to the whole Timoldi family except Luke. Actually Luke was away at college so they really never got to meet until Luke just happened to see Rachel's picture on Johnny's facebook page. He totally wanted to get in touch with her to meet but soon realized she was only 16! Several years passed and he finally realized that he wanted to meet her so he got up the nerve to ask her out. She said yes and the rest is history.
Now onto the wedding details! Their family and friends were so incredible throughout the whole process of planning their wedding. Rachel grew up right across the street from Centenary College located in Hackettstown NJ. It was the perfect choice for their wedding ceremony and reception and quite convenient. The beauty of the college is like stepping into a southern living room filled with much history.

Their wedding was homegrown in almost every possible detail. From the bouquets to the food and all the pretty little details scattered all around the college. Their friend Susanne took charge of the catering from calculating how much of everything they would need for the reception to the ordering of the food. Colette (another friend) spent hours helping to make all of the food. Their menu consisted of chicken tort, scones, honey baked hams, croissants with yummy jams and a wonderful grain free blueberry torte. Mama's Restaurant and Cafe Baci gifted Rachel and Luke a delicious tray of fresh mozzerella, tomato and basil. Alongside of the blueberry torte sat a very lovely strawberry crumble pie. The main course was a wonderful ham prepared by Rachel's dad. He got up especially early to prepare and cook for the dinner. Rachel's mom Wendy did so much of the beautiful decorations and floral arrangements accompanied by a whole group of very talented friends. The flowers were purchased at Little Big Farms in Blairstown, and Trader Joe's. Many of the flowers were actually foraged by the bride and bridesmaids.

The cake was adorned with purple thistles and white peonies. It was so pretty to look at that I was almost hoping they would not have to cut the cake, but once they did and I tasted it, I was so glad they did. Their friends, Joyce and Joe Perkins baked their beautiful wedding cake and it was decorated by Rebecca (who was also the amazing event planner). Rachel actually made 250 scones herself!

Their music was provided by a very talented up and coming group called Sleepy Man. Their voices blend so beautifully and they play the banjo, violin and guitar.

Rachel shared a little bit about her feelings on her wedding day. Her first and happiest moment was when she entered the church and saw all of her friends and family sitting and waiting for her to arrive. When she looked up and saw Luke she knew everything had come together so perfectly as she dreamed it would be.

I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that this family is blessed to be surrounded by. It was such a fresh way to celebrate a wedding and I really loved the intimacy of the day.

Elegant Spring Wedding at Lambertville Station • Alison Dunn Photography

It's not often that you hear of a wedding - and certainly not one this beautiful - planned in a matter of weeks. Melissa + Tom's Wedding by Alison Dunn was full of casual sophistication, organic details and most importantly, a couple undeterred by cooler-than-normal April temperatures and crazy winds.

From Alison: Melissa and Tom tied the knot in the Inn at Lambertville Station's beautiful ceremony space and continued the celebrations upstairs in a ballroom that overlooks the water. They invited me into their story only weeks before their wedding day and I'm so lucky they did! These two executed a wedding-industry miracle by pulling together a beautiful and perfectly executed day in only a matter of weeks and never broke a sweat. It was so much colder and windier than any of us expected for an early April wedding, but they embraced the elements and refused to complain. I even caught them sneaking in a slow dance in their reception space before the ceremony - talk about calm, cool, and collected!
