Fall Engagement at Rockland Lake • Lin Pernille Photography

We're about to enter 90+ temps this weekend in another summer heat wave, so it's only appropriate that we're already dreaming of fall. Sweaters, boots and pumpkin-everything? Yes, please! This adorable fall engagement from Lin Pernille Photography is just what we need to start looking forward to cooler temperatures. With gorgeous fall foliage as their backdrop, Kristen, Michael and their adorable puppy make engagement photos seem like a walk in the park (pun intended!)

FROM LIN: In just under a year, this awesome couple is getting married! Their wedding day will mark exactly 6 years and 1 day together. We decided to take their engagement photos near their house at Rockland Lake State Park, right at the peak of the gorgeous fall foliage! They had considered having a fall wedding but the timing wouldn't work, so instead they choose to take their engagement photos amidst all the colorful leaves instead. They were so easy to photograph and did awesome at their shoot – it made me even more excited for their wedding day 6/3/17!

Golden Fall Engagement at Valley Forge National Park • Aaren Lee Photography

These photos from Aaren Lee Photography are quite possibly everything you could imagine a perfect fall engagement would be. The colors, the light... the obvious connection between Allison + Matt. Oh, and that dress? It's what fall fairy-tales are made of.

From Aaren:  People talk about chemistry. Most are describing a couple that way because it's visible of just how much they fit together. It might be possible that if you look up the definition of the word that you'd find Matt and Allison's picture there They love each other, and they let their love shine just by being who they are.

Ever have a moment when you're afraid to speak for fear that you'll ruin something? I have, countless times. But rarely ever in reference to a couple. I literally felt as though I'd seen a unicorn and if I made any sudden movements, it would vanish. These two....they just were. And it was glorious.

Sophisticated Fall Montauk Wedding • Cadence Kennedy

Sophisticated and timeless will never go out of style, and this gorgeous fall wedding from Cadence Kennedy is certainly no exception. Jenna and George's wedding day is the epitome of graceful elegance, and their genuine love is evident in every photo. George's classic tux, Jenna's timeless dress, their adorable first look... all of it so sweet and intimate. We adore everything about this wedding day, and know you will too!

From Cadence: "The End" can truly be the beginning for some. Jenna and George said 'I do' out on the East End of Long Island in Montauk. The two had the most beautiful Fall day, filled with warm and golden Autumn light, and a soft ocean breeze. Jenna and George's wedding was classic and elegant. Black and white tones were just meant for these images, especially those intimate bridal portraits between Mother and Daughter. Jenna and George's back to back first look under the willow tree is still one of my favorites to date. As they turned around too look at each other, you can just see the sincere and genuine love they have for one another. By the end of the wedding, even though the sun began to set, love continued to radiate off these images. It was truly the magic of Montauk.

Elegant Wedding at Saratoga National Golf Course • Tiffany Wayne Photography

When we think of elegance, this is exactly the wedding that comes to mind. Lindsey + Thalis had the most beautiful day, captured perfectly by Tiffany Wayne, and at one of the most stunning venues in update New York. Everything from the flowers, to the dress, all the way down to the muted color palette was perfectly coordinated, and matched the elegance of Saratoga National.

From Tiffany: This wedding is super ah-mazing – just get your “ooooh’s and ahhhhh’s” ready! A little over a year ago I met up with Lindsey and Thalis at a local coffee shop. I remember instantly hitting it off with these two… We chatted a lot about home renovation and decor, out love of the fall season, and our dogs! It truly was a perfect fit from the start! When I learned that their wedding was at Saratoga National, I was even more excited because that is one of my favorite places to shoot! It just feels like home when I’m there…

When I met with Lindsey (and her dog Pepper) for our final meeting, the weather forecast wasn’t looking 100% percent great. In typical Tiffany fashion, I decided to only put out those good vibrations and trust that all will work out. Praise the Lord because we had a beautiful day! I started out my day with the ladies in the morning over at the Grand Pavillion hotel in downtown Saratoga. What a great spot to get ready. The suite was like a condo- with a full kitchen and living room…super convenient! As always I got started with some detail shots…Starting off with details is kinda like doing yoga. It just helps me get in the zone and channel my inner TWP creative juices! The girls were ahead of schedule (which I love!) and after the ladies were dressed, it was time to head over to Hall of Springs where we were going to do the first look! The covered walkways are so pretty and also a good spot just in case the weather wasn’t ideal.

Groom Thalis was anxiously awaiting his bride- it was so cute to see his excitement! When Lindsey arrived, he gasped when he saw her. Heart melted! We went right into bride and groom portraits and these two were just so adorable to watch! I swear they must have practiced! It wasn’t long before we needed to head over to Saratoga National…after all, we didn’t want this bride and groom late for their own ceremony! The ceremony tent was set up beautifully with draped linens and chandeliers. The flowers were sooo stunning, too! During the ceremony, there were so many sweet moments of laughter…and Thalis even snuck a kiss on his brides forehead. A+++ on the romance you guys!!!! Love it!

After the couple was officially married, we headed out on some golf carts to a nearby field for some sunset images. The sky was a bit overcast so that super golden glow wasn’t as vibrant as I had hoped, but nonetheless, still beautiful. We shared a bunch of laughs and shortly after, it was time to party the night away! The band had everyone off their feet and it was truly a night to remember! Lindsey and Thalis, thank you so much for choosing me to capture such a special time in your life. I wish you both a lifetime that is surrounded by love and all things good…always!!! Congratulations!!! Below are some of my favorites from the wedding day, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! As always, leave a little love in the comment form below and don’t forget to check out the list of talented vendors who made this day happen!

Classic and Sophisticated Fall Wedding at Brotherhood Winery • Michelle Lange

It seemed appropriate that with the unseasonably cool weather we had this weekend, we'd share this stunning fall wedding from Michelle Lange. Sophisticated and utterly timeless, everything from Nicole + Matt's day was deliberately chosen and perfectly executed. The muted fall colors, Nicole's classic dress, and the rustic elegance of Brotherhood Winery - every element is pure perfection.

From the Bride, Nicole: Matt and I wanted to find ways that we could incorporate autumn and the feelings our favorite season bring to mind, to create a day that reflected who we were as a couple and that made our closest friends and family feel welcome and comfortable. Instead of going with the traditional colors of fall, we wanted to do a softer color palette and let the scenery and background be the pops of color. Overall we incorporated blushes, gold and champagne in the floral arrangements, décor and attire. We put so much of ourselves into the details of the day so we truly felt that we had created exactly what we wanted: a beautiful venue surrounded by the people we really love. The months leading up to the wedding were an all-out effort from our families, bridal party and vendors to make everything come together – from the caterer executing a beautiful seasonal menu, to the florist incorporating soft fall florals throughout the venue, our vision really came to life. We served warm apple cider, had pashminas for guests to keep warm, acorns scattered on tables, warm apple pie and fall desserts instead of a large wedding cake.

Outdoor Wedding at Black Bear Golf Club • Laura Lee Photography

Ask anyone in the wedding industry about a first look, and you're guaranteed to hear a wide range of opinions. First looks are one of those topics that people either love, or love-to-hate. Whether or not you love them, you have to admit - the reactions from the couple are priceless! We adore everything about this Black Bear Golf Club Wedding, sent over by one of our Preferred Vendors, Laura Lee Photography! The gorgeous setting, the dress, the floral crown ... but that first look is definitely our favorite. Check out all the gorgeous pictures, below!

From Laura: Jess and Dave worked for the same catering company. Jess was a chef and Dave was a server. After working 2 events in 2 days in 2 hot garages straight, Dave asked Jess out for a drink. He proposed at Natirar Park which Dave says is where he started to fall in love with her. The florals were natural and full of wildflowers and herbs to incorporate Jess's culinary background and her bohemian dress and floral crown really brought out her personality perfectly! It was SUCH a fun day and gorgeous weather out on the golf course. They had an outdoor ceremony on the patio and danced like no tomorrow (me included) all night long. It was an absolute blast! Jess's ring is a family heirloom and very special to her and Dave incorporated elephants into his cufflinks, his favorite animal! I loved all the little touches of details they had that made their wedding unique to their personalities! My favorite part was their first look, Dave cried so much, which in turn made me cry and it was seriously so beautiful!

Rustic Elegance at Red Maple Vineyards • Cassi Claire Photography

This wedding from Cassi Claire Photography will absolutely put a smile on your face this morning. Cassi captured Iliza and Alan's rustic wedding at Red Maple Vineyards last fall, and the entire day was full of emotion, personal touches and FUN. Iliza and Alan define what joy looks like on your wedding day, and are absolutely adorable.

From the Bride: Alan and I planned our wedding together, and we both felt so much ownership and excitement for the day. More than anything, we wanted our wedding to feel like a true representation of us and the things we love—the outdoors, lots of seafood and lots of dancing! It was so important to us that we enjoyed our wedding, and so we adapted or threw out traditions that didn’t fit that vision. My favorite choice we made was doing our first look many hours before the ceremony: we actually got to be together for most of our wedding day, which just felt right. The day was for us and we could not wait to live in the moment together. We also took all of the family photos and portraits before the ceremony, and so we didn’t miss a second of our cocktail hour or time on the dance floor.

Alan described our wedding style as “farm formal”—a term that our friends like to joke about because, really, what does that mean?! But it works, and Red Maple Vineyard was the perfect backdrop for a comfortable, rustic celebration with hints of fancy. We were especially drawn to the gorgeous ceremony site overlooking the Hudson River. Leading up to the wedding, the weather report was terrible: 60% chance of thunderstorms! But just an hour before the ceremony we decided to chance it and get married on that amazing hill. We are so glad we did! We were married by Alan’s minister from growing up which made the moment so personal, and we wrote our own vows together. The weather held out for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and it didn’t start to rain until just minutes after all of our guests were safely seated for dinner under the tent.

Our vendors did an amazing job making our vision come to life, and because of them, the reception was magical, delicious and an absolute dance PARTY! We also wanted to incorporate personal touches to make the day our own. We both carried family heirlooms: Alan a handkerchief that his great-grandmother and his mom each had at their weddings, and I wrapped lace from my mom’s wedding dress around my bouquet. I learned calligraphy for the invitations and escort cards, and my mom made the runners for the bridal table and the escort card display. We labeled the tables with sea creatures instead of numbers—just another reminder of our love of the ocean and diving—and we incorporated a whale tail on our invitations, as whales hold extra special meaning to us. But by far the biggest undertaking was the favors! Alan and I made 200 jars of pickles which were set at each place setting. It was the most time-consuming project we did, but we were really excited that our guests walked away with something that truly felt like a piece of us.

Intimate Rustic Wedding at Moonstone Manor • Ali Paul Co.

I can't think of any better way to end the week than sharing this stunning fall wedding from Ali & Paul Co. You saw Kayla + Zane's mountaintop engagement yesterday, but that was just the beginning... their wedding is the epitome of classic elegance blended with rustic charm, and a little whimsy thrown in for good measure. The venue, the dress, those flowers... swoon! And the ice cream truck? What a perfectly fun way to end the night!

From Ali : Zane & Kayla had a gorgeous woodland themed wedding that tied in well with their love for the outdoors and ice-cream. (Yes... ice-cream.) The guests were given a small envelope with a note on the front instructing them not to open until 7:00. They were then treated to a small cone from the sweetest, local ice-cream truck! It was the best surprise and their guests loved it! Also, I'm totally down with a pasta bar at every single wedding... mmkay?

The day was filled with so many sweet moments, but one of my favorites was when her grandfather was assisted out of his wheelchair, for a short moment, to dance with the bride!

Fall Engagement Session at Laurita Winery • Laura Lee Photography

We love when couples this outside the box, and Morgan and Mike did just that with their engagement session! This session from Laura Lee Photography is quintessentially fall - full of gorgeous colors, lots of laughter and a couple totally head-over-heels in love!

From Laura: Morgan and Mike's second (and their favorite) date was at a Winery for a wine and paint night! When we were discussing ideas for their session we all agreed it would be super cute to do it at a winery and buy a canvas for them to paint their Save The Date on! It was so much fun and I was thrilled to document a little piece of their life and story together in these pictures. We followed up the session with wine tasting (of course) and had an absolute blast!
