Autumn weddings always seem to be so romantic, and Tricia and Alex's Princeton wedding is certainly no exception. Thoughtful and personal details made this day all about them; from a hand-drawn map of their favorite places, to her grandmother's mink stole, no detail was left out. Stunning flowers from Kerry Patel Designs, one of our preferred vendors, were the perfect compliment to this already beautiful November day.
From Kerry: On a beautiful autumn day in November, Tricia married her love. Princeton, New Jersey was currently home to Tricia and Alex, and they knew that Trinity Church would be where they'd wed. They chose Triumph Brewing Company as their reception space, because, in the words of the bride, "we genuinely wanted to throw a big party for everyone!" And they did just that.
Tricia and Alex's wedding day was filled with personal, meaningful touches which made the day feel especially theirs, from the hand-drawn map of Tricia and Alex's favorite places around town, done by Tricia's oldest friend and bridesmaid; to the apple cider donuts for dessert along with their gluten-free wedding cake from Wildflour Bakery Cafe in the most scrumptious flavors of carrot and pumpkin with a cinnamon buttercream frosting. Delicious!
Tricia's “something borrowed" was a mink stole that belonged to her late grandmother, worn by other members of Tricia's family at their weddings. Tricia's necklace was an heirloom gift from her mom. Tricia's father built the rectangular wooden boxes right after Tricia and Alex got engaged, and Tricia's mom surprised them by burning their names and wedding date onto them. They were filled with flowers for the reception. Shadow boxes lining the hallway entrance into Triumph Brewing were used to display childhood photos of Tricia and Alex, as well as wedding photos of their parents and grandparents.
Calligraphy is a hobby of the bride, so she made the table seating cards as well as the individual place cards with gorgeous watercolor and gold flake details.
We can't forget the cutest flower girl of all, Tricia’s niece, who was smitten by her flower crown from the moment it was placed on her head!
