TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU! I started Parris Chic Boutique on a whim back in 2012 right after marrying the man of my dreams and moving into our first little apartment together. It was here that I fell in love with any and every type of handmade décor. After much encouragement from my hubby, I decided to open a shop and pursue what quickly became a dream of creating what we know today as PCB.
Fast forward almost three years later and together we’ve watched this hobby turn into a blessing of a business. We are now a husband and wife duo with a faithful team of loving employees who simply can’t wait to create for our customers!
WHAT DOES PARRIS CHIC BOUTIQUE OFFER? Founded in 2012, Parris Chic Boutique is our take on beautiful, meaningful handmade home and wedding décor. Pretty throw pillows, classic neutrals, and all things calligraphy are our specialties. Here at PCB we strive to celebrate love daily and our hope is that with our products you too can do just that.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WORKING WITH COUPLES? We aren’t necessarily limited to couples, but my most favorite part of working with customers is personalizing a keepsake just for them that I know they are going to cherish for a life time. It’s always a little extra special to purchase or receive a gift that was designed and made just for the recipient. With our new brick + mortar shop I get to watch our customers faces light up when they realize we can make something just for them on the spot and they can walk away with a 100% custom gift to celebrate the love in their lives.
WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS UNIQUE? Our products go deeper than pretty things to decorate your home with. This line of home & wedding décor is meant to speak truth and help you celebrate and cherish the love in your life. The relationships in our lives prove to be most important again and again and that alone is a reason to celebrate.
ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FOR COUPLES: Don’t forget to celebrate your loved one for absolutely no reason at all. Take them on surprise dates, rent their favorite movie, buy them a pillow, or just camp out in the living room and spend some quality time together Netflix binging. I think it can be hard to get caught up in the everyday business of life, but it’s so important to constantly take a step back and celebrate the people who matter most to you.
CHILDHOOD CAREER ASPIRATION? Oh goodness, I had some crazy ones! When I was really young I wanted to be a “cash register girl” because obviously pushing all those buttons just seemed like too much fun. I also went through a phase where I wanted to be a carnival ride operator which is just hilarious. But as a kid all I saw was free rides and free cotton candy! Growing older, I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to do. This business certainly came about at just the right time. I was a year out of high school and knew I wanted to dabble in the art world and focus on something creative, but struggled with the idea of what that looked like in reality. Soon enough a blessing of a business stood in front of me where I could be creative every single day, in my own way, and at my own pace. Even though I had no idea what my ideal job looked like at the time, Parris Chic Boutique really is my dream come true!
COFFEE OR TEA? Coffee!
HIDDEN TALENT? One of my favorite past times that most people don’t know about is creating on a wheel and making things out of clay. I was a big ceramics nerd in high school. I would spend hours after school, during lunch, and all my free periods in the ceramics room. And to this day it’s still something that brings me a lot of rest and joy.
